II Contest and Exhibition of Argentine Art and Culture Videos

The programming of VIDEO BA 97 consisted on 4 parts:
1) 2nd Nationwide Contest of Videos and Films About Art: Selection of the audiovisual works admitted to the contest.
2) Argentinean Videos programmed in electronic ARCO: Presentation of the videos Videos de Otoño by the artist Sabrina Farji, and El borde de la lluvia from the artist Marcello Mercado. Both works from the Argentine artists were exhibited within the context of the international video program in the Madrid Fair ARCO 97. The exhibition Electronic ARCO included 15 international works overall, curated by Carlota Alvarez Basso, from the Reina Sofía Museum, and by María Palier from TVE.
3) Exhibit of Videos from France: Sponsored by the Cultural, Scientific and Cooperation Service of the French Embassy, the works El Arte en Juego, Pablo Picasso Pintor, El Escamoteador, Alain Kirili (Expulsa a los Demonios) and Play it Again Nam, were presented. All of them works made by French artists.
4) 2nd MERCOSUR International Video Festival: Biennial Video Exhibition of Argentine, Brazilian, Chilean, Paraguayan and Uruguayan origin, coordinated by Sergio Martinelli from Digital Group of San Pablo and co-directed by Daniel Stapff from Uruguay, Néstor Olhagaray form Chile, Ray Armele from Paraguay and Carlos Trilnik from Argentina.

20 Artists from the Provinces
Dedicated to young artists from the litoral provinces.
