THE BRAZILIAN PRESENCE IN ARTEBA'10

By now it is a tradition for the Brazilian Embassy, in its cultural policy, to support the activities of the arteBA Foundation, and thereby foster greater closeness between the art worlds of Argentina and Brazil.

arteBA in turn has played a fundamental part in this artistic convergence, by allowing a significant number of Brazilian art galleries to participate in the annual Fair.

And arteBA, through its huge number of visitors, helps to broaden the Argentine public’s acquaintance with contemporary Brazilian art.

In 2010, the Brazilian Embassy is pleased to renew its association with the arteBA Foundation in enabling the participation of five Brazilian galleries: Baró, Lemos de Sá, Murilo Castro, Oscar Cruz, and Thomas Cohn.

The continued interest of Brazilian galleries, curators, and artists in the Fair attests to its crucial importance in deepening the bond between Brazil and Argentina in the plastic and visual arts.
