ARNET TO TAKE PART IN ARTEBA ’10 WITH THE PROJECT: “200 AÑOS – 200 OBRAS” [200 YEARS, 200 ART-WORKS]

For the fourth year in a row, Arnet, Telecom’s broad-band, will be participating in arteBA ’10 Contemporary Art Fair as a Silver Sponsor.

As part of the festivities surrounding Argentina’s Bicentenary, Arnet’s space will be turned into a veritable studio that will recreate the map of our country, through the vision of six emerging artists.

Over the course of the Fair, artists Constanza Martínez, Patricio Larrambebere, Tomás Rivas, Alejandro Digilio, Omar Panosetti and Jimena Pum Pum, chosen by curators Valeria González and Máximo Jacoby, will work in situ in a performance developing original works that take off from a historical image of the Bicentenary. The result of this work in progress will form a vast map of Argentina alongside the historical images serving its inspiration and with photos documenting each performance, reflecting the synergy of the various performances created in the context of the Fair.

To spur visitors’ participation and creativity, Arnet’s space at arteBA ´10 will have an area of Internet-connected computers in which the public can watch, via www.arnet.com.ar, the videos recording each performance, get acquainted with the work of the artists selected to participate, and give their opinions of the joint presentation of the map and the works coming out of it.

After the close of the Fair, the final map will tour the country accompanied by a video documenting the entire experience.
