Manifesto to start its Contemporary Art Collection at arteBA´10

For the third year in a row, Manifesto will be supporting arteBA, Latin America’s most important contemporary art fair. The novelty of its participation in arteBA´10 is the significant news that the firm will now start acquiring art.

In beginning its collection, Manifesto will be supporting the promotion of the art market, collecting, and the Fair as a showcase for excellence in contemporary artistic expression.

The acquisitions program Manifesto will launch in arteBA´10 is based on the annual acquisition of artworks during the Fair. By continuing this program, the firm will create its own art collection, one consistent with the company’s design and vanguard image.

Manifesto thus joins the list of institutions which, in the framework of arteBA Fair, contribute to bolster the country’s building of its cultural wealth and help boost the contemporary art market.

About this artistic and cultural stimulus plan, Sergio Cantarovici, partner in and co-founder of Manifesto, stressed that “it is matter of a great pride to be starting this initiative. We think all companies connected with design should participate in and support this sort of activity, and in so doing encourage the acquisition of original works and collecting.”

Manifesto will also be an active participant within arteBA´10, appointing the fair’s spaces with design furnishings for the stands of Latin America’s most important galleries, as well as the public areas of arteBA, giving special attention, in this bicentenary year,  to the Plaza del Bicentenario. In this way Manifesto, as ever promoting art and design, here brings both closer to society.

arteBA is the meeting place for art dealers, collectors, artists and cultural institutions, and also a focal point for the deal-making of those who supply and demand high-quality art. Year after year, over 120,000 viewers visit the Fair and have the opportunity to come into contact with a superb selection of contemporary art.
