yoo Nordelta to Present the Work Fusión at arteBA´10

yoo Nordelta, the new, avant-garde yoo venture inspired by Philippe Starck, will participate for the first time at arteBA Fair. On display at its stand will be the installation Fusión, by Cuban artist Leonel Matheu.

The artist’s aim in his project is to encourage visitors’ active participation. The interactive work is completed only when everyone enters the installation and a distinguished local photographer takes a photo that he or she will later give the participant, in exchange for a donation to a charitable organization.

Leonel Matheu was born in Havana in 1967 and has lived in Miami since 1990. His work narrates facets of behavior in the modern world, laying stress on the quest for balance between the urban and spiritual development within a context of innocence. Matheu has had exhibitions in Europe, the United States, Asia and Latin America. He was recently chosen by Miami’s professional evaluation committee for art in public spaces to participate in the design of Jackson South Community Hospital.
