ARTEBA – ZURICH MATCHING FUNDS PROGRAM, SIXTH EDITION

On the occasion of arteBA`10 Contemporary Art Fair, the sixth edition of the arteBA – Zurich Matching Funds Program for the acquisition of artworks for local museums will be implemented. The Costantini Foundation, the Museo de Tigre and the Emilio A. Caraffa Museum (Córdoba) will participate this year.

Zurich will grant each of the participant museums the amount of $28,000 (twenty eight thousand Argentinean pesos) to set a purchase fund that will help them buy artworks during the Fair. Each of these museums must equal or exceed the above mentioned amount by means of different sponsorships (counterpart contribution) -individuals or institutions- so as to reach the final needed amount to purchase the artworks of their choice. A vital support to museums with the aim of encouraging their acquisition of fundamental works for their collections, thus benefiting people, stimulating the art market and contributing to strengthen our cultural legacy. In the five past editions, the 10 participant museums were able to purchase 31 pieces, thus enlarging their public collections.
