The General Directorate of Museums of the City of Buenos Aires will once again be acquiring a work for MAMbA at arteBA´10.

For its second consecutive year, the General Directorate of Museums, a division of the Subsecretariat of Culture of the Cultural Ministry of the City Government of Buenos Aires, will be purchasing a work for the collection of the city’s Museum of Modern Art (MAMbA).

Its program for Acquisitions of Modern and Contemporary Art of Buenos Aires was launched at last year’s arteBA fair with the purchase of Miguel Harte’s work "Materia prima" [Raw Material], also designated to join the MAMbA collection.

The work chosen from the arteBA´10 Contemporary Art Fair will be on display at the City Government’s stand throughout the fair, till its close on June 29 at 10:00 PM.

Likewise, the stand will provide details about the new Museum of Modern Art (MAMbA), weeks before its reopening. Furthermore, for the second year in a row, the City Government space will be turned into a television studio and interviews conducted with leading figures in the arts.
