Nuevos aires - ‘Fresh air’
Following having started 2004 with the success of the 7th exhibition Other cartographies, the arteBA Foundation continues its series of exhibitions with a different proposal: Project Grupo Orgánico.
With the Orgánico exhibition, arteBA Foundation opens the space to a multidisciplinary project in the care of a group of young Argentinean contemporary artists that propose a mosaic of techniques and styles.
Once again motivated by the necessity of creating a space with a range of tours that allow us to show the distinct ways of expression in art, the 8th exhibition of arteBA sala10 presents an experimental event where the crossroads of diverse disciplines in art such as painting, sculpture, industrial design, photography, music and digital art bring ‘fresh air’ to contemporary local art.

Orgánico
The Grupo Orgánico was born in 1999 as a result of the union between
young friends brought together by art, amongst which one could encounter
Sebastián Galo Maronese (present coordinater of general plastic
art), Mariano Zorraquin (musical area coordinator) and Alejandro Suaya
(coordinator of visual arts).
The average age of the artists in this group is not more than 30 and their
objective is to present what is happening in the local scene in the following
disciplines: painting, sculpture, digital art, photography, theatre, music,
performances, industrial design, fashion design and architecture.
There is no characteristic congruency in the way that the group works;
however, we can find that a certain individuality between the artists
emerges, which is reflected once the works are exhibited, considering
it as a characteristic of the present day.
Orgánico may consider itself as the “truth” of what
is going on at the moment in the local youth art scene. Without promotion,
nor marketing, nor interviews, this group knew how to create a place for
itself in the porteño underground.
With the logo of sperm forming a union with the egg, giving life, a birth
with hopes and illusions, it is with this that we identify ourselves.
