JOSE
ANTONIO FERNANDEZ MURO
He was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1920, moving to Argentina in 1938. He lived
in Madrid and in Paris from 1948 to 1950 and in 1957 he won a UNESCO scholarship
for museum studies in the United States. He exhibited individually in Buenos
Aires, Madrid, Washington and New York, and in collective exhibitions in
Brazil, France, Holland, Italy and the United States. He is represented
in the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Buenos Aires; Stedelijk Museum
of Amsterdam; Ford Foundation, New York; Museum of Fine Art, Dallas and
in diverse private collections. Amongst the prizes he won throughout his
career are the Guggenheim Prize (1960) and the Sir Herbert Read I Argentine
Interamerican Biennial (1962) Prize. |

SARAH
GRILO
She was born in Buenos Aires in 1921 and lived in Paris and Madrid between
1948 and 1950. She presented her work for the first time in 1949 in the
Galeria Palma de Madrid. She was one of the founding members of the Modern
Artists from Buenos Aires Group and participated in the II and IV San Pablo
Biennial and in Fundacion Torcuato Di Tella Prize exhibition in 1961. She
exhibited individually in Madrid, Buenos Aires, Washington, New York and
collectively in Brazil, Holland, the Unites States, Italy, Peru, and Colombia
etc. She is represented by her works in the Museums of Buenos Aires, Caracas,
Amsterdam, and Pan-American Union of Washington. |

MIGUEL
OCAMPO
Architect, he was born in Buenos Aires in 1922. In 1949 he lived in Paris
and then in Rome from 1956 to 1959. He exhibited individually in Buenos
Aires, Paris, Rome, Rio de Janeiro, Madrid, Ottawa, Miami, New York and
Panama, etc. In 1982 he participated in the Venice Biennial representing
Argentina. The Museo de Bellas Artes de Buenos Aires, the Museum of Modern
Art in New York and diverse private collection include his works in their
collections. Painter and architect. Member of the National Academy of Fine
Arts. |

ROBIROSA
She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1932. She studied with Hector
Basaldua. She exhibited individually in Buenos Aires and the United Sates,
and collectively in Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Spain, New York, Ecuador, Switzerland,
London, United States, Japan, Paris, Berlin, Rome and Chile. Her works appear
in the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes; Museo de Arte Moderno; Museo "Genaro
Pérez"; Museo de Tres Arroyos; Museo de Neuquén; Colección

KASUYA
SAKAI
He was born in Buenos Aires in 1927. He studied in Japan where he lived
until 1951, the year in which he returned to Argentina and in 1952 he presented
his first individual exhibition. In 1957 he formed part of the Group Seven
abstract painters. In 1962 he lived in New York, a city in which he stayed
until 1965, after which he moved to Mexico where he lived until 1977, when
he returned to the United States. He exhibited individually in Buenos Aires,
Sao Paolo, Mexico, Spain, Texas and Costa Rica, and collectively in Mexico,
Uruguay, Peru, Bolivia, Belgium, Brazil and the United States. In 1958 Gold
Medal, Universal Exhibition in Brussels, Belgium. In 1960, first prize,
National Prize of Painting, Argentina. 1961, First Prize Contemporary Painting
Salon Award, Buenos Aires, Argentina. |

CLORINDO
TESTA
Architect, he was born in Naples (Italy) in 1923 and migrated to Argentina
in 1924. He travelled around Italy and Spain, from 1945 to 1951. He exhibited
in Buenos Aires, Brazil, Holland, Italy, Uruguay, Tokyo, Amsterdam and the
United States. He won the National First Prize, Instituo Torcuato Di Tella,
Buenos Aires, First Prize with the Grupo de los 13, "30 años
de las Naciones Unidas", Zagreb, Yugoslavia, First Prize with the Grupo
de los 13, XIV Sao Paolo International Biennial (Itamarati Prize), First
Prize, "Del Sueño del Objeto", Design Contest from the
Instituto de Cooperacion Iberoamericana, Buenos Aires; Siemens Prize, "15
Maestros Invitados", Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, “Barro de
America”, Museo de Arte Contamporaneo in Caracas, Konex Prize, “100
master-pieces, 100 Argentinean painters (1810-1994), Museo Nacional de Bellas
Artes, he also won the Konex Platinum Prize twice. |
